RefugeGamer Mandatory Meeting Wrap-Up

Tonight's Mandatory meeting only covered one main topic and, it was a big one!

After running server's for the past 2 and half years we've decided to take down our Team Fortress 2 and Day of Defeat:Source servers. We wish to give our heartfelt thanks to all in the community that have been working, playing, admining, and having a great time in all our servers over the past 2+ years. Without you guys RefugeGamer would not exist.

In the interim we will continue to run the forums and keep vent up as central meeting points for everyone. In the short term we're going to play more L4D2 or start pubbing around in other servers and games. Long term, when we find another game that has the community energized about playing we will open another server.

Another chapter is starting for RefugeGamer and we hope to see you all continue on with us.

Argh. Sad day. Like so many gaming communities, they all seem to eventually just fold up and disappear. I wish I was in a position to help support the servers financially as this family has been one of the best I've ever played with. Many thanks to you all for the year or so I've been here. I've truly enjoyed Refuge Gamer.
